Considering the prevailing winds and the perspective of the contrail stretching back in the distance (over the horizon) I think you've nailed it 100%... Well, except for one item. "Contrails" dissipate in ten to twenty seconds at those altitudes. Fuel additives, usually in the form of Aluminum Oxide nanoparticles that extend fuel range often leading to the term "chemtrails" is is heavy use around the globe of late. We see this up here in northern California all the time. You can even see these trails on NOAA raw satellite feed. Most of the aircraft that seem to employ this range-extender appear to be Boeing-manufactured aircraft. Do a search on jet fuel additives/nanoparticles. The Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) has some declassified docs on this too. Warm Regards,
